"hmm. bagi seorang anak yang 'bahagia', apa hendak semua dapat, semuanya elok-elok belaka. kamu rasa dia sedar tak dengan satu kelemahan yang boleh berlaku pada dirinya?" saya menjawab dengan soalan.

"tidak. apa dia ustaz?" dia sedikit kebingungan.

"dia tidak biasa dengan kekurangan. dan tidak biasa menguruskan kelemahan. jika dia tidak sedar dengan hal itu, bersediakah dia untuk menghadapi kekurangan suaminya apabila dia berkahwin nanti? bersediakah dia untuk menghadapi kekurangan anak-anaknya apabila dia menjadi ibu nanti? kamu rasa bagaimana?"

"mungkin bersedia. mungkin tak bersedia. entah!" kata remaja itu.

"tapi kamu, kerana sudah belajar menerima dan menguruskan kekurangan ibu bapa, kamu bersedia tak andai kata suami kamu nanti ada kekurangan, anak-anak ada kekurangan?" saya menyambung, tanya.

"bersedia!" katanya dengan yakin.

"rupa-rupanya, kekurangan ibu dan bapa kamu itu, adalah didikan Allah untuk menjadikan kamu manusia hebat satu hari nanti. insyaAllah. kamu yakin?" saya membuat kesimpulan.

The Price of a Smile

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

In the name of Allah, the most Gracious the Most Merciful.

Alhamdulillah wa Allahu akbar.

After a few attempts to write something here, Alhamdulillah I managed to actually 'write' here.

*and to tell the truth, this is my FIFTH attempt to write something today. hahahhh*

Talking about smiling.

Recently, I smiled a lot. Well, simple things can make me smile.
I was asked a few years back : what will make you smile, my answer was ‘flower’.
But now, things changes. Alhamdulillah I appreciate what is surrounding me more. The cloud can make me smile, the flowers, children, dogs, cats, the wind. Just name it. And above all, Allah made me smile. Why? Because He made everything. He made us all. No doubt.

Back then when I was younger, Mak always need to ask me to smile : “Kakak, senyumlah sikit..masam je”

haha. *and thinking of that,just that. made me smile.*

Now, mak will say “ eleh…senyum2 ni pun sejak kebelakangan ni je ni..”
And yes, recently. Since two years ago.
2 years ago, during summer holiday, I attended 2 family funerals.
Both Allahyarhamah (May Allah bless them) were smiling.
And they were people that I know with showering smiles.
They smiled a lot when they were alive.
*iyarrkkk!! Sebijik batu besar menghempap kepala*

So Add, why you no smile? *trolling face*
You want muka masam during your funeral?
Of course I no want!
And I started to think of happy things, and appreciate things around me more.
And Alhamdulillah. People around me made me smile a lot.
The family, the friends, the strangers, the nature.

And among things that made me smile all day long, is looking at our Muslim sisters and brothers around. *flowery face*
Alhamdulillah for this feeling.

Rasulullah (peace be upon him) is a man who always smile.
So why no us? Smiling is sunnah. Smiling is sadaqah, a charity.

"...Your smile for your brother is charity.” – Fiqh-us-Sunnah, Volume 3, Number 98

And smiling is deadly contagious.
I hope I smile naturally. Ikhlas.
And remind me to smile when I don’t.
Every single deed counts.

Do not look down upon any good work, and when you speak to your brother, show him a cheerful face.” (Sunan of Abu-Dawood, Hadith 1889)

Hubungan dengan manusia.

Tapi kadang-kadang kita lupa untuk mengekspressikan rasa itu di wajah kita...
Senyum ke....
Sengih ke...
Atau sekurang-kurangnya tidak memasamkan muka.

Kadang-kadang berwajah masam di hadapan rakan-rakan boleh men'down'kan emosi orang lain.
Selalu, penyakit ceria itu ialah penyakit berjangkit.

Trust

Bismillah. Assalamualaikum.

It's been a while. Since I wrote my rants here.
Went to a meeting. The shortest meeting I've ever been so far. (nice one, Director!)

Just got quite a big responsibility.
Holding on others trust.
Pray that I'll keep the grip firm, Ameeenn...

While I was waiting for the bus, A word came across my mind : "TRUST".

When we're lost in a new city,
and we asked a man about the direction,
and we followed his instruction, without knowing whether he gave a correct direction or not.
We TRUST him.

When we ride a bus,
and while thinking of the narrow road and the big double decker bus with big trees along the roadside,
We TRUST the driver not to crash into any of the trees...

When we ride a taxi,
we TRUST the taxi driver will take us right to our desired destination.

Having got a responsibility,
Let's say...
being a committee member in any society,
or a leader to any group, or association...
or simply,the leader of a family...
Looking at the TRUSTs they put on us,
and looking at how far we TRUST ourselves to take the responsibility,
how far we TRUST ourselves that we have the capability, and the capacity.

Above all TRUSTs...
the biggest and greatest TRUST is on Allah.
Allahu. Allahu. Allahu.
TAWAKKAL. is the other name of TRUST to Allah.

وعلى الله فليتوكل المؤمنون …

…and in Allah should the faithful (Ever) put their trust [3:122, 5:11]

All the trusts that we give to others,even to ourownselves, are not valid unless everything is based on the TRUST to Allah. Why?

Because we don't hold our future. HE does.

Because we don't have any rights to our own lives, unless HE allows it.

Because we don't have the power. HE is the Almighty.

Because we don't have anything, HE owns everything.

Lets put our TRUST, in Allah.

No other.

… ومن يتوكل على الله فهو حسبه …

…And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him… [65:3]

Bismillahitawakkaltu 'alallah.

Ya Allah, demi rahmatMu aku memohon maka janganlah Engkau serahkan aku kepada diriku walaupun sekelip mata dan perelokkanlah urusanku keseluruhannya, tiada Tuhan yang berhak disembah melainkan Engkau.

Chocolate Mug Cake

Read this on someone's tweeter (yeah. I tweet. ^_^)

"was bored, went into the kitchen, and managed to whip up a chocolate mug cake in 5 minutes! I didn't know it was that easy.. :D"

How luring it is, to have a mug of chocolate cake on a boring Sunday evening~ Especially when it only takes you 5minute to do it. -Well yeah, plus tomorrow you'll be having 2 exams in the evening.

Immediately I Googled for the recipe. Wow! In 0.14 seconds, 425000 results found! Ok and I just knew its existence.

And basically, what you need is a mug (well, where do you think the name comes from? *smirk*)

4 tbs Self Raising Flour
4 tbs Sugar
3 tbs Cocoa Powder
3 tbs Milk
3 tbs vegetable Oil
1 egg

and if you like,
add some hazel nut/ almond powder/ spread

Mix everything well in the mug,
Put in microwave (yes, its microwave, people.) using the highest power (1000W-if i'm not wronged)
set for 2-3 minutes.

wait..wait...wait....

teeett!!!

Pop! Here's your chocolate cake served to you in less than 5minutes.

Caution : don't do that too often. Its still chocolate cake, you know. Chocolate cake.

Not blind, Just can't see

Reaching another day Alhamdulillah.

Yesterday marked the start of Discover Islam Week in UCD.

It was Brother Abu Hafsa talk. It was amazing!! Why?

Because the speaker is a blind revert. And He is an Irish! And he is a former professional boxer back in his place in Canada. Despite his blindness, (well, he is not blind, he just cant't see.) he is super hyperactive. He traveled all around the world to tell people about how he converted to Islam. SubhanAllah amazing story.

He was born blind, and was very ambitious to be a professional boxer since he was a small boy. And he became one. After showered with so much fame and pride, a spark of thoughts came across his mind. A simple question. "is this all?" that he wanted to do for the rest of his life? Winning a match, being famous, getting along with pretty girls (i laughed when he said about pretty girls when he can't see any! XD ) and all it takes being a famous person. He started to think. And his journey begins here. He started to search for the purpose of life. He heard the story about Malcolm X and Alhamdulillah after a few years he met a Pakistani woman who brought him to Islam.

I remembered his story when he was going to tell his grandmother about him being a Muslim. After a long introduction questions, about believing in one God, believing the other prophets (Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus) and stuffs, he finally tell his grandmother that he is a Muslim. And guess what, she was very calm. The only questions that she asked him about being a Muslim is :

1. Are you still an Irish?

2. Are you still my grandson?

And of course the answers are yes to both! Because Islam is a religion of no discrimination. Equal.

When asked, how to spread da'wah?

Brother Abu Hafsa; or his Muslim name is Abdul Malik answered : By showing a good example, you're doing da'wah! There is no excuse for a Muslim for not doing any da'wah.

Thinking of that ; sometimes I felt like I am not doing proper da'wah. I did mistakes all over. And I am feeling that I don't walk the talk. I know the theory and what am I doing is like I don't believe in the theory, not believing the manual given by Allah. =.=''. I lost. Ya Allah don't let me astray far from you. Bring me back.

I wanna take the spirit of this blind man.

Pray for me! Lets get going~

White Coat Ceremony : An Amanah to remember

Bismillah bismillah.

aahh...its Friday. Marking the end of week 2 of semester 2 of year 2. Alhamdulillah ala kulli hal. (al praises to Allah on everything). Had my monday to ~~friday~~ thursday lectures...and total of only 20lecture notes. Plus 2 japanese workbooks to finish by Monday. yada~yada~ Need to finish all by sunday. Add you can do it lah! Bi iznillah.

Wednesday, had a small meeting with a group of people. I was late (about 5-10 minutes after settling a small event downstairs.). Got into the meeting room with cute-innocent face, saying sorry for being late. Then, a HUGE glup. Unexpected people were in the same room too. Haaiihh...ok. Kaget sebentar. But the awkwardness vanished. Why? because the meeting was too good too nice that i forgot the blood-rush earlier. (ok semua orang tak faham. good.good.) Point of interest here, A sister asked me, "Add, would you be my guest tomorrow for our White Coat Ceremony?"...aahhh...i've been waiting for that kind of invitation. And i said "i do.".

UCD WCC 2011: Guestbook

Thursday. 3rd year seniors, wearing formal dresses for their quite big event this evening; White Coat Ceremony. All are smart and pretty. Its a symbolic event, marking the start of clinical years for medical students. (well, UCD is quite late here. We're only seriously into clinical learning in the second half of our study year. Not like RCSI which as far as i know they started clinical classes during 1st year. ).

I remembered the guest speaker, Dr Louise Ivers said,
"Instead of asking 'what is the disease', ask yourself 'why this patient have this disease at this time' ''.

Finding the underlying causes is more important than on-the-surface-only treatment. This theory applies to anything right? By knowing the 'why', it is easier to get rid of the disease. Because 'a why' is connected directly to the disease. And 'a what' may comes from many 'why-s'.

err...am i going ridiculous? Easy thought of mine. In lecture hall, your stomach produces grumpy sounds. Instead of deflating your stomach (LOL direct translation), feed yourself! Eat something, because we need to treat the 'why'. Why grumpy sounds? Because you are hungry. Treat it! heheh.

More serious thoughts. The number of illegitimate children is increasing. What do we do? Building an illegitimate children school?? No-no-no.. The number of bacteria will keep increasing because we're keeping to feed them! What to do? Find the Y-factor. kaaann... =)

Ok. revert back to the WCC. Another phrase of the day; "with this privileges come great responsibilities" . Yes it is. Privileges of the white coat and stethoscopes. All the respects and hopes people put on those who wear it. All the big money (they said so but i doubt it) . All the responsibilities and all the trusts they put on you. To trust you putting your hands onto them. Unconditional trust. Allahu...it is such a massive responsibility!

Looking on the bright side, this is also a privilege for us, to become a dai'e. With all those trusts, we can keep doing da'wah easily. Its such a waste if we don't take advantage of this privilege. A simple kind of da'wah a doctor can do : Telling his patient that Allah is the Almighty who heals everything. Doctors don't have the power to heal, but all goes to Allah.

And not to forget, this responsibility is too small and petite to compare with the responsibility we'd accepted before time. The responsibility of becoming a khalifah.

"Sesungguhnya Kami telah mengemukakan amanat kepada langit, bumi dan gunung-gunung, maka semuanya enggan untuk memikul amanat itu dan mereka khawatir akan mengkhianatinya, dan dipikullah amanat itu oleh manusia. Sesungguhnya manusia itu amat zalim dan amat bodoh,"

(Al-Ahzab, 33:72)

Allahu Allah...

Lastly, whoever we are, we all have an amanah (responsibility) to hold onto. Remember that we will be asked in the hereafter about all the privileges that we had, about the responsibilities we took, about any single atomic thing we did here.

رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحۡمَةً۬ وَهَيِّئۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَمۡرِنَا رَشَدً۬ا

Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!

Al Kahfi, 18:10

Just got a new device last week. Alhamdulillah...not a long wait.
This is the first thing i did with the new device.

The products might not be as good as pro, but I'm learning. =)

-heh, missing them so much? not. Its just their name is so long that i have idea how to 'pusing-pusing' with the device. he. Now khat is in soft copy! Yeayy! Now is in progress writing something for something. Those with long names, jaga-jaga! XD.

Bismillah.

This week, we HAVE to force ourselves to finish this weird blue vegetable. Well, not that weird. Its only a big potion of red cabbage. (irony isn't it? Named RED cabbage, but capable of turning anything to blue. =.='')

OK mahu berbahasa Melayu.

Hari 1 : Sayur Kobis masak lemak. - untuk kesekian kalinya (ok, kami orang kampung2 je kat Malaysia xpernah makan kobis merah berwarna biru. XD), sungguh kagum (secara sinisnya) Kuah masak lemak berwarna biru. hehe. OK. Sampai esok petang tak ada sorang pun sanggup untuk menjamah sayur itu. Kesian sayur. Bila di tanya kenapa; "ah..tak sanggup makan, warna dia menakutkan."..haha. (Likewise, I dont even eat it)

Hari 2 : Menjadi sedikit berhati-hati. Sayur itu tidak dimasak. Kita makan salad ye harini.
Kobis Merah + Karot Oren + Salad Hijau + Mayonaise Putih +air lemon = Salad Purple. (hahaha... add...harini kita makan sayur ni lagi ke?...nasib badan lah housemates...telan je lah. Tak baik membazir kan.)
Alhamdulillah OK, rasanya tak teruk sangat sebab warna purple tu tak ketara sangat. heheh.

Hari 3 : Finalle. Lauk Pelik lagi. Smoked Haddock masak sweet sour plus kobis goreng. Yes2! Kobis Purple Goreng...Lalu berlagak la...ala2 masak kobis biasa...aahhh...nampak macam ok je sayur ni. OK, finale. Masukkan telur la sikit, ala2 mak masak sikit. And then....poof! Segala2nya jadi biru, termasuklah carrot dan telur yang baru masuk tadi.

"Add!!!! Anda masak ape ni!!!!" -ok i know!!! hahaha. Sambil masak2 tu gelak2 kecil sendiri. Cukup la sekali dengan sayur ni. Tak mau dah. heheh.

p/s: Ni semua bukan hari yang berturut2, selang sehari makan sayur berwarna purple.

Kepada orang di luar sana, kalau anda tak cukup eksotik untuk makan sayur warna biru, "don't ever try this!". hehe.

Lastly, untuk tatapan umum, saksikanla kebiruan sayur kami. hihi.

Alhamdulillah....kita masih diberikan nikmat hidup, nikmat Islam dan nikmat Iman.

Sejak berita semalam, persoalan yang bermain di benak ialah,
" Kenapa orang baik selalu pergi dulu?"
Lalu inilah yang juga bermain-main di fikiran :

Setiap orang, diberi peluang secara puratanya 60 tahun untuk menjadi seorang abid, seorang khilafah dimuka bumi ini.
Tetapi, nilai 60 tahun itu mungkin bukanlah secara bahasa, tetapi secara istilah.
Seorang tua yang telah hidup 50 tahun nilai hidupnya tidaklah sama harganya dengan seorang pemuda berusia 25 tahun.
Jika si tua itu hidupnya hanya keseronokkan dunia sedangkan si pemuda tersebut bertungkus lumus membela nasib agamanya.
Dan mungkin sebab itulah, ramai orang baik-baik, ramai orang hebat-hebat, pergi dahulu sebelum kita. Kerana Usianya sudah mencapai nilai terbaik.
Untuk kita yang masih bernyawa,
Allah membuka peluang seluas-luasnya kepada kita untuk mencapai nilai usia yang terbaik.
Untuk berusaha sehabis baik supaya tempat tertinggi kita di sana di'reserve'.
Dan Allah memberi segala yang kita perlukan untuk ke sana.
Tak nak ke?

Just finished Neuroanatomy exam. Microecons, Endocrinology, Locomotor, and Mechanisme of Disease as well. Alhamdulillah 'ala kulli hal. *harus belajar untuk belajar. Benda pertama untuk menjadi pelajar*
Enough said of exams.

One thing I realized about exam is, within this period everyone becomes so pious. And each status is related to religion and spiritual and being good. I'm not saying others, but myself too. Regardless our faith, we tend to remember God the most when we felt helpless and weak. ESPECIALLY during exams. ESPECIALLY when we have 15 more lecture notes to finish within the next 24hours. (well, am just giving an imaginable example. XD). and ESPECIALLY when we have only pens, papers and question sheet. We will continuously pray : "Oh my God, help me. Make this easy for me." The concept of Tawakkal is applied here.

Amazingly, these sweet little thoughts suddenly disappear when there's no more exam. And we are what we were earlier.What a big loss to us. We were right on the track, and then we ran away. And if only we know...Not to forget, the concept of give and take. What are we to ask from Allah the Almighty, if all we did was His anger? *reflexing myself...in the midst of exam, all I'm asking was Allah to help me, but what I did pre-exam wasn't the coolest thing to do as a good Muslim.- sedih-*

"And whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). (2) And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allâh, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allâh will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allâh has set a measure for all things. "

Went to the city after exam this evening. With two beloved friends. Yeah we missed two buses, then wait for the next trip. Nothing much, had our weekly household shopping. It was only 6p.m, but its already night. And its freeeeziinggg colddd. *brrr*. On our way back, there were 3 volunteers asking for donation. The two friends stopped. Took their purse in the backpack- which is buried under the packets of potatoes, onions and stuffs- , and donate some spare shillings. And they don't even look at what are they donating for. *terharu-sebab susah nak ambil purse dlm beg, sampai perlu berhenti dan turunkan beg yang digalas.and still, they donate-* Alhamdulillah I am surrounded by this kind of friends. *hugs*

We never know how ukhuwah tied us together. =)

I am thinking of having a break from rambling here, until my final exam ended. But, this is my medium. To express myself. The easiest way, although I'm not that expressive kind. So its just hard to resist. =)

Back in Intec, my stress-releasing activity is the toilet-cleaning-regime. Seriously, the stress were washed away together with the...well, you know. *haha*
Now, not anymore. Typical Western toilet is so dry and clean. So, i lost my job. *haha*
No medium.

And this is what i did.

I call them Tingkap-snap.
With a little touch-up.
(although some people out there don't like edited picture.)
Sometimes editing could give some kind of emotion to the pictures.
At least i think so.
And i just like to play with the simple techniques in photoshop. Stress releasing it is.

Had a little walk around the apartment. Irony it is. A sunny snowy day. =)

p/s : The snow never fail to mesmerize me. And last year was the first time I meet Mr Snow, and the first time I learn about the snow verse in the Quran :

See you not that Allâh drives the clouds gently, then joins them together, then makes them into a heap of layers, and you see the rain comes forth from between them. And He sends down from the sky; hail (like) mountains (snow), (or there are in the heaven mountains of hail from where He sends down hail), and strike therewith whom He wills, and averts it from whom He wills. The vivid flash of its (clouds) lightning nearly blinds the sight.

And yes it is! The snow is glittering. And nearly blinds the sight. SubhanAllah. =)

Walking

She's walking.
Walking steadily on the well-paved road.
But she forgot there're still rocky unpaved streets
She walked leisurely on the wide-open field,
But she forgot there's still untrimmed grass,
She walked on the straight highways.
But she forgot about the tolls that made her pay.
She walked on the boulevard, looking around, freely.
But she forgot about the mazes and cul-de-sac that forced her to turn back and take another road.
And she forgot about the hectic city roads and the annoying traffic lights.
She walked down the hill,
But she forgot that she has to climb up first to go down.
Always she walked under the bright sun,
But she forgot there'll be slippery snow and wet slits someday.

All she needs is courage and preparation.

Assalamualaikum.
Alhamdulillah...just finished the final Isoc meeting for this semester.
And guess what. It is the 11th meeting!
It meanss...that it's already 11 weeks, since i became a 2nd year medicine student. O_o.

What we did at the end of our meeting was an ukhuwah game. This time, a dedication card to every committee.
Everyone has to write a simple note to a card, specially dedicated to each one of us. *of course we dont write to ourselves.*

I got mine. And a single word really caught my attention. "small". =.=''. The only word i-guess-i-know-who wrote. Out of thousands of words. Motivational value? haha.

small. really made me giggles all the way back home.

But out of everything, I really need to thank all these people, who have been so energetic, super-enthusiastic, multi talented and everything.
To recap everything, I think I am super busy compared to the others. (well, thats what i think. And my thoughts always exaggerating. I am not as busy as other busy fellows.)
I remembered asking one of the committees...

"Don't you ever feel tired doing all this? "
"NO, my rest is only in Jannah inshaAllah".

And that really kicks me up. Hold on. NO rest for now, Adilah. Don't.

That reminds me of my daughter-father chat the other day :
"you got the tasks, because you have the trusts; the others' trusts on you. Hold on"

So i should hold on.

And the latest reminder I got from a dear friend :

The verse that we read everyday, and we barely run into the deeper meaning.

So i should hold on. Because He knows that I can. And He is the all-knowing.

For now, Work smart, pray hard.
This one small reminder really playing in my head :
"jangan koyak. senyum je".

So, jangan koyak. senyum je. =)

Charity Week. with 's' behind it. WeekSSSSS. XD

Alhamdulillah...Alhamdulillah....Alhamdulillah....I have no other word to describe this very good feeling. =)
Muhasabah-ing myself, remembering what happened through out the week. Or should I say, Charity Week events that has just ended today. Alhamdulillah... (I am this speechless. Stuck in front of the screen, too much to tell.)

Firstly, the cake sales. You over there, I'm so sorry didn't help much. But you all did a great job! BarakAllahufeekum.

Cake Sale @ Astra Hall.

Then, on Thursday, The New World Order talk. Credit to Mr Brother IT for the poster. We liked it very much, BUT unfortunately, some didn't. Due to a very case-sensitive subject, we had to remove all of the posters we posted all around the campus. Oh, did I tell you how we had our posters posted?
1. Every Thursday, We have to wake up really-really early, to catch up to UCD as early as 7.30 a.m -If not, we won't get the strategic post. (we can only post the posters at specific places provided by the authority.)
2. Get all the posters ready - with cellophane tape - ready to paste.
3. Wait until 8.15 a.m. and for the authority to shout "Start!". And race around the campus to get all your posters posted.

And yeah, after all the hardwork, we had to remove the controversial posters. *take it as a small test from Him, never mind. *

I don't want to comment on the talk. I let the others judge it.

Next day. Carnival.
It was fun. At least I said so. haha. We had ourselves wore the sumo-suit and have a sumo battle. Also competing whose jenga is the highest. Kudos to Kak Padhi and the gang, for their 30 storey jenga. =).
Not to forget the not-so-safe Gladiator battle. It was fun. Baru keluar peluh sikit main ni.
Of all the on-the-scene happiness, there's a lot of nice-to-remember behind the scene. Especially during the preparation. Jazakumullah khair to everyone who helped. Without you, we're nothing. And on the scene. Including one injury over there. Konkusi as what our Vice pres said.

Sunday, Sisters Treasure hunt and Futsal Tournament. Conducted by Zahidah. Alhamdulillah...everyone enjoyed it. Especially the treasure hunt winner. Don't you, Kak Diana? =p And oh.! Out of the blue, i became one of the referee for futsal. (ahax. I am zero in futsal rules. Hentam sajalah labu...enjoyed blowing the whistle so much. But the enjoyment stops when I started to think whose whistle is that. Oh my God. iyekkk. haha). And met a very energetic bunch of girls. When I say very energetic, they are really energetic.. And not surprisingly, they won the games. And they're good players. Thanx very much to all participants, I had a great time there. =). Not to forget the volunteers who're willing to come on Sunday morning, and sit in the midst of morning -1degree Celsius mist. May Allah bless you all!

Wednesday, had my first MED MCQ exam... an hour 50 mcq questions,really tickled my belly. ahax.

Thursday, the really BIG event for CW comes. Bucket collecting. Morning on the street around UCD, afternoon in the campus. We had our Bumble Bee and Mario around the campus.
"give me some money, if not i'll sting you". haha. That was hillarious. And quite 'radical' (if you know what i;m talking about. -dedicated to Isocers). The super thin bumblebee. =.=''
Everyone was very generous. Alhamdulillah...When I was waiting in the rain, begging for some spare changes, I notice something. The Irish, especially; they couldn't bear hearing the word 'please'. I made up an experiment, comparing 2 variables : A=asking donation with 'please' at the end, B=without 'please' at the end.
And guess what. I got more coins when I shouted "spare changes for the orphans, PLEASE!". MashaAllah that was amazing. Couldn't stop smiling all the day. (that was an unusual side of me.he).

On Friday, we had cake sales event at the Islamic School at ICCI. Thank a zillion to those who contributed the cakes. Your cakes are really awesome and all sold, for a good cause inshaAllah. The kids love it.! SubhanAllahhhh... I can't stop smiiiiliiinggg all the way. The children are so-o-o adorable. Their parents have been informed prior to this event, so the children brought extra Euro. And they were like : "can i buy all of these cakes and chocolates??"
Its like a disease to me. Handling too many adorable children. I pray each and every one of you become a good Muslim inshaAllah.

p/s: Looking at the children reminds me of my parents. How they took care of the bubbly little-me, teaching me from wrong to right. And thinking forward, how am I going to prepare myself to have children of my own. ;) Its not easy I know. Are you prepared?

Next event we had was the Charity Lunch. Sounds unfamiliar? It is! Instead of organizing and messing with charity Dinner, we decided to have a simple lunch sale. Alhamdulillah...Everything goes well. More than 200 tubs of Tandoori Chicken Rice were sold on that day.

After all, the most important thing is, I always remind myself and be reminded by dear friends, to renew my intentions. Our beloved prophet loves giving sadaqah so much.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Every Muslim has to give in charity." The people then asked: "(But what) if someone has nothing to give, what should he do?" The Prophet replied: "He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what he earns)." The people further asked: "If he cannot find even that?" He replied: "He should help the needy who appeal for help." Then the people asked: "If he cannot do (even) that?" The Prophet said finally: "Then he should perform good deeds and keep away from evil deeds, and that will be regarded as charitable deeds." - Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith 524

Even in the Holy Quran stated;

"They ask you (O Muhammad) what they should spend in charity. Say: 'Whatever you spend with a good heart, give it to parents, relatives, orphans, the helpless, and travellers in need. Whatever good you do, God is aware of it.'" - The Holy Quran, 2:215

It never has to be a great big significant thing. even a small little deed is counted. Allah is the Most Justice of all. Al-Adl. He will judge every single thing.

So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. (7)And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. (8)

Al-Zilzal 99:7-8

Assalamualaikum, and May Allah bless you.

Time is moving so fast. After all ups and downs, the last month of Hijrah arises. Yes! wake up people! Its already Zulhijjah! The twelfth month of 1431 Hijr. And 8 days more is the day of Arafah, the next day is Eidul Adha. =)

What is so special about this month?

The first ten days of Zul Hijjah are so sacred that Allah swears an oath by them when He says in the Quran:

"By the dawn; by the ten nights" [al-Fajr 89:1-2].

Swearing an oath by something indicates its importance and great benefit.
Mufassirs stated that "the ten nights" refers to the ten nights of Zulhijjah.

How special the 10 days of Zulhijjah also recorded in a hadith:

Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no deed more precious in the sight of Allah, nor greater in reward, than a good deed done during the ten days of Sacrifice." He was asked, "Not even jihad for the sake of Allah?" He said, "Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing." (Reported by al-Daarimi, 1/357; its isnaad is hasan as stated in al-Irwaa’, 3/398).

So let us all colour this month with Sunnah fasting, takbir, Du'a, and other good deeds.
Pray for our brothers and sisters all over the world.
And the most important, let us seek forgiveness from Allah.
May Allah forgive us.

رَبَّنَا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَڪَفِّرۡ عَنَّا سَيِّـَٔاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and expiate from us our evil deeds, and make us die (in the state of righteousness) along with Al-Abrâr (the pious believers of Islamic Monotheism)

How's everything going. I hope and pray your days are blessed and eased by Allah inshaAllah.
This could be just a short post. Maybe.

Remember that the intention is the most important thing when we're doing something.
And intention might change according to time, so we need to refresh our intentions every moment we came across it.
What's your intention now?

We might say we love someone fillah. (because of Allah).
But do we actually saying it because we do, or do we say it because we need to.
Refresh our intentions, friends.

We might do so many charity or society tasks,
But do we actually do it sincerely, or we do it for fame, or we do it because we were forced to.
refresh our intentions, sisters and brothers.

We might do the sunnah ibadah everyday, every time,
But do we actually do it LillahiTaala, or do we want some praises from the others, or do we do it because the others do it.
Refresh our intentions, friends.

We might post all the good status and Quran /Hadith verses on our Facebook status,
But do we actually sincerely want to share our knowledge with the others, do we want to tell the world : "hey look i'm pious, i post all the good status on FB"
Look at our intentions, dear brothers dear sisters.

We might message all the friends and juniors and seniors with all sweet and nice words,
But do we actually do it for the sake of Ukhuwah Islamiyah, or do we need some popularity amongst them; that when people ask them they can say your name.
Renew our intentions, Dear friends.

Am reminding myself. not correcting the others.

إنَّمَا الأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّياَّتِ وَإنمَّاَ لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى

"Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended..."

3 Weeks.

Salam Alaik. Just a few things that made my early weeks in Ireland.

Alhamdulillah... I couldn't say more. Raya was great with the new housemates. =)
First day of raya with juniors.and OGs. and those who're determined enough to fly at the end of Ramadhan back to Dublin. (haha. [?]). Came back late at 9.30 p.m. -jalan sakan.
Second day, third day, don't remember. But we went somewhere. Raya la.

First week of class.
Waaa....
having 2 dissection classes plus a CAL practical in a day.
2 straight neuroanatomy lectures.
2 straight endocrine lectures.
2 sets of lectures in an hour.
waaaa....first week was an electric shock. hahaa.

*well, a solid 4 months of holiday. What would you expect other than the electric shock? hahaa.
Honestly i dont study medicine at home. But i attended the classes of life. A real one. That I might need later, as an Abid, as a Khalifah inshaAllah.

Second saturday and sunday : More open houses. haaahaa. Kenyang. The food are superb! Alhamdulillah... they are real cookers. Fad's house, Ann's house...Kak Baitil's (we attacked her house without early notice. nakal ni.)

2nd week of class...Alhamdulillah...managed myself. Not much dissection classes. yadaa~~yadaa~~classes go on...life goes on.... Walking to school. (a thing that i never do since kindergarden. Dad sent me to school everyday. Yes! Everyday. for almost 11 years. He never fed-up. Thanx ayah! *missing home*).

The fresher's week is on. As usual...loads of free stuffs!! haha. T-shirts, chocolates, vouchers, pens, goodies bags.. am laughing at a senior. Every time I met him, he'll ask : "Which booth have free stuffs?" haha. That is so fun, signing up for freebies.

BUT. On top of everything, Alhamdulillah... Isoc is the best! (at least in my heart. hehe). Its a bless looking at the members name list, where there's a lot of Non Muslims name. Isoc is not only for Muslims. Yes, thats our Motto for the fresher's week. and it seems to be effective. And putting Qurans on the registration desk is another attraction, with the "LEARN IT, DON'T BURN IT" banner. And from my observation many people out there are curious about the Quran, and Islam. They heard it, but they don't know it. So lets share it with them.
And at the end of the week, had a nice committee picnic. Its freeezing cold. haha.

And the climax of the week : Our house warming. Having a happy moment with house mates. (korang memang rockers! =p)
We didn't cook much. Yess. Amatur cookers. Badly need more practice.

First day of raya at Student Centre's Cafe, having Chips and Hot choc. Modern raya style isn't it? haha

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh

I am celebrating my second and maybe the last Eid in Dublin. Praying that Ramadhan that has just ended gives us new motion to change for better.

Last December, the day Ida and me were busy booking our cheap MAS flight ticket back home, "eh, kita raya kat Dublin lah. Ni last kott raya sini". that was when school term scheduled to start on the 6th (of September). And a month before summer holiday, school term is adjusted to start a week later (13th sept).

Nicee~ there you go. a nice 10days honeymoon in Merrion Woods. bhahaha. Arrived Dublin safely on the 3rd (sept) after a loooongggg 14hours back-aching sleeping on Heathrow airport's bench. hahaha. Yeah we 'love' that place so much. thats why we keep coming to the same port.

September, isn't just another boring own-room-hibernating-so-called-honeymoon. It is something. We become the Orientation Guide (OG) for UCDians newcomers. New experience, which i think we wont get later (after we reach Pinang for our second half part). OGs tshirt...OGs nametag, i think it is So-Cool. =p

The coolest thing is : get to meet the juniors that i think : Havoc lah! osem ok osem. I'm not the type that love to talk, but i did talk much being an OG. And the first years are really blurrr (on the first day especially), just like me back when i was a first year. this applied to all Malaysians, the other foreign students; and even the Irish. Having OGs around during freshers week is a must. Helping them settling down...yeah. Hope to be a good kakak. If only we can eat during the day, i will definitely blanja my juniors 9-1-1 donuts. =). But Orientation is now officially over. Sorry guys. U can get ur donuts later. =p

This is one new thing that i learn since my first step into Dublin. Ukhwah, and tautan hati. If we know how sweet ukhuwah is, and how important tautan hati is, we will appreciate everyone that we met along our journey towards Akhirah. I pray that all friends that I made, (regardless the status) along the way , will bring me closer to our fitrah, closer to Allah.

How important ukhuwah could be, is that when 2 Muslims met, and shake hands with the most friendly smile and joyous heart, Allah will forgive their sin, like the falling leaves.

See....even though the days are tiring, and we were always lie flat at the end of the day, we are satisfied. Helping the juniors around. And i hope this cycle of juniors-seniors will continue till the day end. We got what we need, and later we give what they need. =)

There are a few friends asking me, "why d u wanna be OG?"

I answered : "simple, i want to help the jrs, just like what i got when i was a jr.".

What is so hard. Other privileges and extras are just bonus for those who helped.

"Add, ko memang this type. Even since Seseri, dekat INTEC, kat UCD ni pon ko nak jadi Fasi. Mencapap betul.haha"...

hahaaa...that was another thing. I wasn't meant to mencapub (mencari publisiti), well, orang tak kenal pun...haha. But this is great experience. Looking at the children (this is what Mirah Ibrahim called them), reminding me of myself back then. Reminding me that we are child no more. Have a lot more to do, before our time comes. A lot more to do before He will ask us, what did we do when we were young.

This reminds me of a scene in a TV drama, (well, its quite a new one, and still playing on air.heheh), a wife nagging his husband, because he doesn't want to follow her to a late night party :

"You kena ingat, kita ni muda hanya sekaliiiii je dalam seumur hidup,nanti dah tua macam mami you, you nak sembahyang tunggang tonggek tunggang tonggek nak terus sujud tak bangun-bangun, xde orang kesah pun."

A'uzubillahiminzalik.

I hope my niat is always renewed, and everything i did, is for the sake of His bless. I'm not asking more, for His blessings will take me to Jannah. Pray for that....(although I know it is very hard to get it; even the Sahabats are dying to get to Jannah.)

To the new Dubliners, here we are. Grab the chance to know you and your fitrah better.

We're all in the same boat.

Lets row the boat together, for the boat will take us one step closer to our target.

We're all in the same plane,

Lets pray the plane will land on the right track.

We're all in the same shoe,

Lets hope the shoe will bring us to our destination safely.

Malam itu, jam 10.30, ayah telefon.

"Salam, kakak, Mak mana?"

"Mak tidur sudah..kenapakah?"

"Anak nenek Ida, Kak Seri dah meninggal..baru lagi..now still at hospital..."

"???ANAK NENEK IDA? KAK SERI? eh...betul ke?" -->sungguh tidak percaya.

"nanti dalam pukul 11-11.30 settle semua sampai rumah lah inshaAllah."

Allah...Allah..hampir terduduk mendengar berita itu. Sungguh. Tidak percaya. Kak Seri yang lincah.peramah.ceria. dah meninggal? She is young.

Pukul 1.30 pagi. Bersiap, ziarah rumah arwah. Siap dikafankan. Ya Allah....sesungguhnya semua yang hidup akan mati...sungguh. Ini peringatan buatku. Sudah lama tidak melawat rumah orang meninggal. Siap berdoa. Siap bertanya-tanya sebab kematian...
Di belakang..terlihat 6 anak kecil. Sedang membaca Yasin...3 daripadanya anak arwah. Paling kecil 4 tahun.

Kata ayahnya :
"adik, mama dah xde..nanti mama tak jumpa adik lagi..."getar suara si ayah memberitahu si adik.
si adik mengangguk. seperti faham. duduk di sebelah jenazah ibu yang akan dikebumikan esok pagi jam 10.00.
si kakak, sambil membaca Surah Yaasin, berderai air matanya. dia sudah faham.
Si abang, senyap dan seperti tidak percaya. dia sudah faham.
Sebak memandang mereka.
Ya Allah...menjadi yatim di usia muda.

waktu terhenti tak kau sadari
masikah ada jalan bagimu untuk kembali
mengulangkan masa lalu

Di sebelah jenazah, kelihatan seorang tua sedang membaca Yaasin.
Si Ayah yang berusia hampir seabad. Sudah nyanyuk.
awalnya hairan, "eh, orang dah ramai kat rumah..kenapa seri tidur lagi ni??Seri...bangun, orang dah datang nak beraya!!"
Allah...sayu mendengarnya.
"seri dah meninggal, ayah."
"seri? meninggaaaaal?"
lamaaaaa....baru faham. Anak kesayangannya sudah tiada.
Usai bacaan Yaasinnya, lalu bangkit ke arah orang ramai.
tersenyum. berjalan mundar mandir dengan kudrat yang sedikit.
di ajak masuk tidur bersama cucu-cucu.

10 minit berlalu, keluar semula.
Bila ditanya kenapa; tidak boleh tidur katanya.
Lalu dia bertanya sekali lagi
"jadi...yang dah meninggal ini Seri ya?"
Allah....si Ayah terlupa lagi.
Sebak kami di sekeliling.

semua dan segala yg ada akan
kembali padaNya

Si Emak, masih kesedihan. Anaknya pergi sebelumnya.
Mujur Iman tersemat di dada.
Berita mengejut diterima seredha mungkin.

Summer Starts

Wow, it’s been a longggg time I don’t rant here. Out of time, or out of ink? I don’t have the rights to say time isn’t enough. (it’s a shame you know. Been at mom’s place all day, sleep all night, then saying not enough time. Haiih~). Summer holiday. Dublin-Prague-Vienna-Budapest-Dublin-London-Kuala Lumpur-Perak-Kedah-Terengganu-Sabah-Indonesia. The journey isn’t finish yet. Still a month to go before holiday ends. =)

Alhamdulillah… along the way, found so many people, saw so many life drama, captured so many pictures, experienced new adventure, and the most important thing; Learnt so many lessons. Getting more matured. (I hope, no one will fall for me because of this- I’m getting matured. hahah. Ok, I’ll stop laughing. =p ).

Dublin-Praha-Wien-Budapest-Dublin

Visiting these x-world war countries taught me something. Islam is rare here. And the three of us; Giha, Ida and me, are the rare people. Peace!! =). Reminding me of Ghuraba’. Some of them never heard of Islam, nor seen anyone wearing hijab - especially colourful hijabs like we did. (*_^)V. And some were afraid of us. Imagine a big tough guy seems like running away from small and cute girls like us. Haha. Paranoia? Islam = terrorism? I don’t know. May be. They thought we might bring a bomb together with us under the hijab. Haha. Funny. Ironic isn’t it?

Love this journey. =) ♥ One of the thing I liked about these three countries is they appreciate time more than anything. Trems and buses schedules are very reliable. They come strictly on time. No compromise. And they walk fast! Just like the Irish. I loiikeee~. But what makes them different is they don’t smile. They don’t help foreigners. Foreigners are foreigners. And they don’t speak English. -àand that makes us speak Malay there. It’s just the same. English or Malay, they won’t understand either. Hehe. Allah bless. And and…its quite hard to find Halal food there. (believe it or not, I lost 4kgs within a week travelling. à tapi lepas tu naik balik. Jangan risau. Hahaha). The buildings are classic. No wonder this is a must-go place in Europe. (but after a week travelling and loads of pictures taken, I couldn’t actually differentiate which is which. Heh).

And oh. Forgot to tell. We went to the Holocaust museum in Budapest. And as expected. à people are staring at us. We aren’t alien are we?Most of the visitors are Jewish, and it IS weird seing Muslims visiting a Jewish memorial. We know. But we need to know the history to make a history, ight? =) As we all know, Holocaust – the massive massacre of the Jewish across Europe, is one of the most controversial history of all time. There are some statements saying that it was just a way the Jews seeking for world’s sympathy. But Allah knows best. Back to the story. The current Zionist logo, the 6-end stars, are called the ‘Stars of David’, is actually a mark, done by the Nazis to recognise the Jews. Men are for slavery. Women and children; are located in an isolated village. Not allowed to be among the other races. They are forced to urinate in their sacred place and sacred book. They been massacred and thrown into seas and rivers. The Nazis are stealing from the dead. What I remembered is in total, they collected about 17000kg of gold, thousand kilos of silvers and Million Dollars from the dead Jews. The Jews are being inhumanly trampled, kicked, and then killed. Feel pity? Remember this fact, THEY (THE ZIONISTS) ARE DOING THE SAME THING TO THE PALESTINIANS NOW. Exactly the same thing. Why is this happening (question mark).

Going back to Dublin through Budapest. What can I say is, Budapest’s airport was quite bad. There were 5 or 6 passport check. A mess. A mess. Haha. (ok saya sangat jahat cakap macam ni).

But the hostel we stayed in Budapest was the best! With a very reasonable price, and friendly Hostel attendance. Budapest Budget Hostel. Find it at www.worldhostel.com. (hehe. Iklan di sini.)

Dublin-London-KL

Things are cold. We don't feel like we're going home. But at least we did something, like we're going home~ cooked the lunnch, and also making some nasi goreng for our future dinner and tomorrow's breakfast. the flight is at 9pm and we went out at 6 pm. Its early isn't it! (ok that shows we are excited enough to go back home! =p) checked in inline. (well, not online. We lined up. and get the REAL boarding pass! not the self-printed boarding pass. Haha. Excited di situ.=0) After putting off some stuffs in my 26kg bag, I managed to check in a 21kg bag. hehe. Board the plane...and Alhamdulillah...arrived Heathrow the next 35 minutes~ This is rapid. Being too obsessed with the bag pays us our dinner and nextday's breakfast. "Obsession is dangerous"- Dr. Wilson in House season 2. haaahaaa. I accidentally left our food bag at the arrival area. And we're stuck here in terminal 3 Heathrow airport until tomorrow morning without food. And i am starving. =.=''. (Fine. I have bunches of chocolates in my bag. But those are souvenirs~ I'm not going to eat them.)

Empty stomach = can't sleep.

Being unsecured at the airport = can't sleep.

Too excited to go home = can't sleep.

Solution: Cramping myself at the corner of a check-in counter, watching House. haaaahaaa.

Ida is sleeping on the bench. Everyone does. Each and every bench is full house. Even the floor has it's admire. (And it’s me. House marathon. haaahaaa.don't mind. it has been cleaned at 12am just now.)

We are temporarily refugees~ until tomorrow morning. Yeay!

Just reminding myself, how many people out there that don't even have a chance to sleep in a nice building. How many people out there are starving. How many people out there are refugees, been captivated by a bunch of terrorists that called themselves as the world police. Hey shame on you! Next post - The latest Dublin Demonstration we joined yesterday.

Perak-Kedah

Balik Kampung as usual. =) Saifullah my sweeeetheart is growing. He’s getting better. à Even without a normal anus. ( ada tebukan di perut beliau ye rakan2…tempat bahan kumuh keluar.) His small legs are getting stronger; even though there’s a little bent. You should see how he’s movingà bergerak sambil bersila. Laju beb! Xde sapa boleh lawan ni. Wanna know more how he moves, ask me OK. =) Syaqiq the other sweetheart is getting bubblier. ♥. Tok is healthy. ‘Sihat orang tua’ she said. All praises to Allah.

A few days after Kedah, I followed Ayah to Terengganu. It was my 2^nd time. After a year. It was summer in Terengganu. And I am crazy with the bright clouds. SubhanAllah…and the beaches. Heh. Mau gila saya. But only a few ‘nice’ pictures captured. I’m too busy helping Ayah. Not much to tell. Except we accidentally blocked by the Custom Authority, suspected as smuggler, because there were too many plastic bags in the car. (hahaha! Itu uniform kott.). Slept at Rhu Muda Resort, Marang. Nice beach. (ok orang2 Trg, don’t laugh at me. Sedikit jakun dgn pantai. Yang ada laut biru plus awan putih plus langit cerah plus ada perahu klasik plus being alone layan emo. hahaha). Well, enjoy the view peeps. =)

Dia lupa, ayah tanpa jemu menjawab soalan-soalan bodoh dia masa kecil-kecil.
Dia lupa macam-macam penat ayah.

Ayah dah tak ada.
Rumah dah hilang seri.
Sekarang baru dia sedar.
Sekarang baru dia perasan.
Dia dah ter'miss' banyak benda best.
Dia rindu nak bersembang dengan ayah.
Dia rindu nak pijak-pijakkan badan ayah.
Dia rindu nak tolong ayah.
Dia rindu nak kucup tangan ayah.
Dia rindu suara emas ayah, yang penuh nasihat.
Dia rindu senyuman ayah.
Tapi sekarang dia dah terlambat.
Kerana dia hanya ada seorang ayah.

Alhamdulillah what a lovely day today!! I just can't stop smiling. Spring breeze really takes away the gloom~ I like! =)

Today is the last day of PMC seniors in Ireland. (they're going back to Malaysia tomorrow evening.=))

i've nothing more to say. I just pray that they're doing good anywhere they might be.

And keep doing all the good things they'd done here. InsyaAllah.

Rasa bercampur baur. Lalu jari berjalan2 di blog tulisan rakan-rakan seperjuangan. Sampai di satu destinasi wajib setiap minggu. Terbaca satu perenggan.

Kebelakangan ini, berlaku beberapa perkara yang menyebabkan timbul perasaan kecil hati. Sedangkan itu adalah kelemahan kita sendiri dan perlu diperbaiki. Memang tak dapat dielakkan juga, wujud sifat-sifat mementingkan diri sendiri (selfish)…

This is the heading of a Malaysian online news.

Can you guess what does "bare your love" means?

Well my dear, it means this:

Female students in higher-learning institutes here are being persuaded not to wear panties on Valentine’s Day as an expression of true love for their boyfriends.

Believe it or not. This is happening in Malaysia. Yes my dear, in Malaysia, our beloved country.

Freedom of speech has been totally used. Very well done! This is so promoting sex..among the youngs. Well,its not literally promoting.But.....(lu pikir la sendiri)

But is this the kind of freedom we want? Many might just laugh and say,

"its up to you if you want to join the campaign or not. If you don't like it, just leave it. Whats wrong with it?"

But the thing is...this campaign is happening in campus. whereabouts? University campuses in Shah Alam. Most of the students in the campus are Malay..and Muslim. This is so sad. pathetic.

So: where are we. the joining group or the denying one, or just the observer.

Nak hidup selesa?

Asslamualaikum kepada para pembaca sekalian;

Alhamdulillah, kini kita telah pun berada dalam tahun baru, azam yang baru, pakaian juga baru, kereta juga baru, rumah juga baru dan insyaAllah ada juga yang beristeri baru. Tetapi, adakah dengan semuanya baru itu sudah cukup untuk diri kita sebagai hamba Allah SWT di muka bumi ini, yang hina dina dan banyak melakukan maksiat kepada Allah SWT jikalau kita tidak bertaubat dan berhijrah daripada yang buruk kepada yang baik? Itu adalah sebagai satu persoalan awal sebagai muqaddimah penulisan saya pada kali ini. Minta untuk kita semua renungkan.

InsyaAllah pada kali ini ingin saya mengupas salah sebuah hadis Rasulullah SAW yang diriwayatkan oleh Anas dan Jabit.

‘Daripada Anas dan Jabit, Rasulullah SAW bersabda; akan datang satu zaman dimana manusia di zaman itu tidak akan berada dalam keadaan yang selesa tanpa maksiat. Jika kamu bertemu dengan zaman itu wajiblah ke atas kamu untuk melarikan diri.

Sahabat bertanya; Ya Rasulullah, bagaimanakah hendak kami lari sedangkan kami berada di zaman itu?

Rasulullah menjawab; larilah kepada Allah, larilah kepada al-quran dan larilah kepada sunnahku.’

Sidang pembaca sekalian. Rasulullah telah menunjukkan kerisauan Baginda terhadap umatnya. Begitu penyayangnya Rasulullah terhadap umatnya. Tetapi masih ada lagi umatnya yang sanggup mencaci sunnah-sunnahnya. Betapa risaunya Baginda terhadap umatnya di akhir zaman di mana zaman itu adalah zaman yang sedang kita hadapi sekarang ini. Mungkin ada yang kurang faham tentang hadis ini. Teruskan membaca kerana saya akan menerangkan erti sebenar secara lebih kurang, kalau ada yang terkurang minta maaf banyak-banyak. Saya juga masih lagi belajar.dan boleh juga sekiranya para pembaca ingin membetulkan apa yang salah.

Berlumba-lumba bina masjid. Tapi utk apa? Hiasankah ia?atau rumah ibadatkah ia?

Hadis ini sebenarnya membawa maksud Rasulullah menyuruh umatnya berhati-hati dan berjaga-jaga kerana akan datang satu zaman di mana arus zaman itu tidak sesuai dengan agama(Islam). Bukan bermaksud agama Islam itu tidak fleksibal. Tetapi di zaman itu adalah seperti yang dapat kita lihat pada zaman kita sekarang ini. Orang akan berasa tidak selesa tanpa menentang syariat agama. Orang akan berasa tidak selesa sekiranya semua perkara yang dilakukan mengikut garis panduan yang telah ditetapkan oleh agama Islam. Sebagai contoh peniaga yang menipu semasa berniaga kerana ingin mendapatkan keuntungan yang berlebih-lebihan demi kepentingan diri. Dengan alasan

“ouh, macam mana nak untung kalau ikut cara Islam. Yang ni tak boleh yang tu tak boleh. Bila nak kaya?”

Tapi dia terlupa bahawa perniagaan Saidatina Khadijah mendapat keuntungan yang berlipat kali ganda kerana kejujuran Rasulullah SAW. Itulah yang berlaku di zaman sekarang ini. Dalam berniaga kalau tak main kona-kona sikit tak sah. Mesti ada yang kona baring ke pacak ke. Mesti ada walaupun sedikit. Kita sekarang sudah tidak peduli lagi dari mana datangnya harta. Samada halal atau haram.yang penting kita boleh hidup senang lenang dengan harta tersebut. Rasuah sana sini. Tidak kira peringkat, dari ikan bilis ke ikan besar, dari kecil-kecilan ke besar-besaran, dari enjin kereta ke enjin jet pejuang. Semuanya kerana harta. Ingat wahai muslimin muslimat sekalian. Dunia ini bagaikan air laut. Makin diminum makin haus. Makin kita kejar dunia makin tidak puas.

Kita boleh perhatikan orang kaya yang mempunyai rumah besar tetapi tidak tenang hidupnya kerana risau akan harta-hartanya. Pagar tinggi mengelilingi rumah. Tidak cukup dengan pagar di tambah pula dengan kamera keselamatan. Apa gunanya ada harta tetapi tidak tenteram hidupnya? Adakah kita dapat beli segalanya di dunia ini dengan wang? Yang lagi menyadihkan siding pembaca sekalian. Ada anak-anak yang sanggup mengupah orang lain untuk manguruskan jenazah ibu bapa mereka.

Apakah erti semua ini walaupun kita hidup selesa? Adakah kita betul-betul manikmati segala keselesaan itu? Sama sekali tidak. Kita bertindak untuk memodenkan agama dan membuat spekulasi bahawa Islam yang lama telah ketinggalan zaman. Sehinggakan segalanya diambil serba sedikit yang dianggap bersesuaian dengan arus perdana ini. Islam tidak ada yang lama atau yang baru. Kerana Islam berpandukan al-quran yang merupakan Kalamullah. Oleh kerana ayat-ayat Al-Quran tidak ada update maknanya al-quran sesuai untuk sepanjang zaman. Cuma kita yang tidak mengikut Al-Quran menyebabkan lahirnya Islam lama dan baru. Jikalau pakai tudung mestilah ada jambul yang terkeluar kerana nampak moden dan ramai orang yang memakai tudung sedemikian rupa. Bila ada yang menutup aurat mengikut garis yang telah dipandukan oleh syariat Islam, timbullah persoalan-persoalan “ kenapa nak berbungkus-bungkus macam pocong je ni? Orang dah tak pakai dah camni sekarang ni. Kita kenalah ikut peredaran zaman.”

Nah! Ternyata apa yang disabdakan oleh Rasulullah SAW itu benar belaka. Jika kita ikut syariat Islam yang sebenar di zaman sekarang ini kita tidak akan dapat hidup dengan selesa kerana akan banyak persoalan yang timbul terhadap diri kita. Orang yang perpegang dengan agama tidak dapat hidup dengan selesa di arus zaman ini kerana melawan arus. Jadi kepada sesiapa yang ingin hidup selesa, ikutlah arus zaman ini dan berbuatlah maksiat kepada Allah SWT. Seterusnya tunggulah azab di akhirat kelak.

Ada hadis lain yang diriwayatkan oleh Bukhari yang sangat berkait rapat dengan hadis ini. Diriwayatkan daripada Bukhari;

Rasulullah SAW bersabda; Islam itu datang dalam keadaan ganjil dan akan berbalik semula dalam keadaan ganjil di akhir zaman. Maka beruntunglah mereka yang berada dalam keganjilan itu.
Betul pembaca sekalian. Dalam arus perdana ini, ramai yang mendedahkan aurat sehinggakan yang menutup aurat dianggap pelik. Kan pelik kalau orang lain buat tapi kita tak buat. Kalau orang pakai tudung ada jugak yang tanya “ eih, kau tak gatal kepala ke pakai tudung 24jam? Ish, kalau aku la kan, rimas.” Sempat lagi buat iklan rejoice pulak kan kat situ. Ganjilkan orang yang berpegang kepada agama di zaman ini? Tetapi dalam sabdaan Rasulullah SAW itu ada disebut ‘ maka beruntunglah mereka yang berada dalam keganjilan itu.’ Maknanya beruntung dan terselamatlah kita jika kita dapat mengekalkan diri kita mengamalkan agama Islam dalam setiap perkara yang kita lakukan tanpa kompromi sedikit pun.

Dua hadis di atas ini adalah untuk menguji iman kita. Kekuatan iman untuk berhadapan dengan arus perdana ini.

Kata hamka “ umat Islam sekarang perlu ada iman seteguh karang, andainya dipukul ombak tidak akan berganjak walau seinci pun, andainya dipukul kapal, maka karamlah kapal tersebut.”

Sebagai penutup, beberapa persoalan ingin saya kemukakan untuk kita sama-sama renungkan. Persoalannya adakah kita cukup kuat? Cukup kuat untuk berpegang teguh kepada tali agama? Cukup kuat untuk tergolong dalam golongan yang ganjil itu? Ingat, kembalilah kepada Allah dan sesungguhnya Allah itu maha kuasa akan sesuatu. Selangkah kita rapat kepadaNya, seribu langkah Dia rapat kepada kita. Hanya dengan berpegang kepada al-quran dan as-sunnah sahaja yang dapat menyelamatkan kita. InsyaAllah…

Dan berpegang teguhlah kamu sekalian kepada tali Allah (agama Islam) dan janganlah kamu bercerai-berai dan kenanglah nikmat Allah kepada kamu ketika kamu bermusuh-musuhan (semasa jahiliah dahulu), lalu Allah menyatukan di antara hati kamu (sehingga kamu bersatu-padu dengan nikmat Islam), maka menjadilah kamu dengan nikmat Allah itu orang-orang Islam yang bersaudara dan kamu dahulu telah berada di tepi jurang Neraka (disebabkan kekufuran kamu semasa jahiliah), lalu Allah selamatkan kamu dari Neraka itu (disebabkan nikmat Islam juga). Demikianlah Allah menjelaskan kepada kamu ayat-ayat keteranganNya, supaya kamu mendapat petunjuk hidayatNya. Ali-Imran, 3:103

December 27th - January 18th

Marks the first anniversary of the unspeakable brutality committed by the Zionist regime of Israel against the people of Gaza.

For over 22 days, Israel dropped bombs, white phosphorous, used airplanes, helicopters, navy ships, tanks, bulldozers and heavily armed soldiers against a defenseless people. (well, it actually doesn't just started at that time. The suffers had continued since 60 years ago,but last years event was the most remarkable one)

1,400 dead,

5,000 injured,

20,000 homeless

50,000 displaced.

Schools, hospitals, universities, ministries, homes, shops - nothing was spared. The people of Gaza were simply bombed to death.

All around the world civil societies are marking the first anniversary of this cowardly and genocidal crime and Viva Palestina Malaysia (formerly COMPLETE) calls on all Malaysians to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people by doing the following:

1. Display the Palestinian scarf on 27th December everywhere you go. Drape it around yourself, tie it to your bag, display it in your car. Just let it be seen.

2. Boycott the following companies, supporters of the Zionist regime of Israel, from 27th December to 18th January - Nestle, McDonald's, Coke and Loreal. Do not buy any of their products!(yes, we can make a different. If everyone plays their role..inshaAllah. Allah's willing.)

3. Put up Boycott Israel car stickers, available for free. They can be collected from 6, SS1/24A, Kampung Tunku, Petaling Jaya. Or call Jemaimah at COMPLETE/Viva Palestina Malaysia (VPM) on 013 231 4596

4. Observe one minute of silence at exactly 12 noon on 27th December. Turn this silence into a deafening roar against the injustice suffered by the Palestinians.(one minute is a bit short. i think. If we can accomplish the earth hour very well, why don't accomplish this as well.=)

*well, this is a good start for us to help our Muslim families in Palestine. Even this event doesn't seem to bring much different, at least it is SOMETHING. Of Puddles, Hot Chocolate and Shuttle Bus

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..

Alhamdulillah...finish with one subject- CSI - Clinical skills and Informatics. The subject where you'll learn about patient contact, how a doctor should be, what they shouldn't be...what publics expect from a person with the tittle Dr in front of his/her name. And not to forget, this is where we learn how many colours are there in one pixel, how many bytes is a kilobyte, what the fish is CAT-6, and what is the difference between LAN and WAN. I'm not going to discuss about any of the questions...let bygone be bygone. (*hahah. You're right.) Anyway, this subject is seriously informative---->to a certain extent we felt that it is too informative that we couldn't digest all the information given. I believe there'll be a time when we need all this knowledge. It is never a waste gaining a knowledge. =)

That was my first time reaching RDS. Wow. This is enormous! A big complex. With a lot of halls, a stadium, Ice skating arena,...just mentioning some of them. And UCD final semester exam is held in the main hall in RDS. And how big is the main hall? It is big.

Its not only us having papers at that time..we shared the hall with nursing students as well. (ermm..they're taking different paper..we just share the hall.mind me.=p)

Firstly..full compliment is given to the UCD students union, for providing us the very best service.

Shuttle bus...Merville/Belgrove- RDS is provided every half an hour. Fetching you right beside the college residence, and drops you right in front of the RDS gate--->for free.

Free student union pens...(i think i took more than one. =). i'm keeping some for future use. heheh). Like the pen very much. (*_^)v.

Free banana--->as instant energy provider before doing the exams. That was very nice.

Not free bag keeping service. *1euro per bag---> what price can you pay for your stuffs safety. Just pay folks! (we didn't pay. and we're being parasite- leaving our bags near to the keeping area)

To me, the SU is very prepared for this event. (hahah. RDS actually put UCD exams in its event calendar.

The one hour exam ended at 7p.m. And it was raining. We waited outside of the main entrance for the shuttle bus.

5minute....

no bus.

10 minute.....

nope.

And a few of us, impatiently said *come! what're we waiting for? Its boring. Lets walk and take the public bus* --->and i'm one of the impatient people. While the other chose to wait in the heavily drizzling rain, 3 of us walked to the nearest bus stop. Having the thoughts there'll be bus that'll drive us straight away to the campus.

Reached the bus stop. Ya Allah..theres no bus to UCD! And there's no point for us walking out to the bus stop and waiting for the wrong bus, rite? And while deciding on which way to go, which route to take....the shuttle bus just passed right in front of our eyes.

Ya Allah....there. YOU showed us the advantage of having a little patience.

And as expected, we missed the bus!

Solving the problem, we took a public bus to the city. That was the most rational decision we thought we'd done. While waiting for the bus, a speeding car hit the water puddle on the road. (haha. ermm..how do i say this. i think i got messed up with the language. hahah.) And the puddle was just right in front of us! And there. A free water splash. *my first experience*

And we were like : Ya Allah...is this Your reminder? or is this Your insults to us, for not having patience?? Husnuszzon to Allah...things happen for reasons.. Husnuzzon...Allah might have purpose on this incident.

Alhamdulillah...while waiting for the bus, we had a little muhasabah on what happened to us in less than 30minutes.

And i think the most suitable quote for us is Surah Al-Asr: 1-3

10 minutes later, the bus arrived, and we continued our journey to the city.

We were thinking of having some hot chocolates, to release the tense. Unfortunately, the kiosk's already closed. Not our Rezeki.

And while walking to the bus stop, bus no 10, which we supposed to take has already moved. And leaving us behind. And we missed the bus for a second time! What an unfortunate event. Happened in less than 1hour.

But after a while waiting, Alhamdulillah...here comes the bus..and Alhamdulillah, we arrived safely to Belgrove. Having fresh chocolate milk and chips to cover the frustated-hungry-tired night.=)

As i checked my University email account just now, i found an interesting email. Here it goes.

Hey y'all!

Hope the exams are going well! Normally such a sad time of year, all gloomy and stuff but things are always brighter on the otherside! think of all the fun we'll have after!

on a lighter note i love steph so much, i wanna have babies with her, little ginger ones that i can name shane jnr and shane jnr II and blanket. maybe a steph jnr but i'd prefer not to have a girl cause men are great! that said steph is great too!
i was her 21st kiss(ledge i know) but sure what can you do, with great power came great responsibility.

where will i bring steph on date?

Apa-apa sahajalah orang putih ini. And i am very sure everyone else also found that this email is quite ridiculous and *what the fish with this email*.
But to think in the other contacts , he is willing to tell everyone that he loves her so much, and seems like he's willing to do anything for her.

Reflexing to ourselves, We said that we love Allah and His Prophet, Muhammad pbuh so much. Then, what do we do? or what have we done to express our love? Lets start moving.

Ritual? Think Again. Scientifically Prooved.

Assalamualaikum.

A few weeks back; I googled about Islamic Slaughtering Method. And i found these amazing facts about it. and comparisons between Conventional Method (captive bolt pistol stunning) and Ritual method (halal, knife). source

A German Professor, Wilhelm Schulze and his colleague Dr. Hazim at the School of Veterinary Medicine, Hannover University in Germany conducted a study; and they conclude that:

Islamic slaughtering is the most humane method of slaughter and that captive bolt stunning, practiced in the West, causes severe pain to the animal.

They had a study; where several electrodes were surgically implanted at various points of the skull of all animals, touching the surface of the brain. And then the animals were allowed to recover for several weeks. Then they are divided into two groups : which are to be slaughtered in Islamic method, and the other with conventional one.

In Islamic Method, they were slaughtered by making a swift, deep incision with a sharp knife on the neck cutting the jugular veins and the carotid arteries as well as the trachea and esophagus; while for the conventional method : the animals were stunned using a Captive Bolt Pistol (CBP). During the experiment, an electroencephalograph (EEG) and an electrocardiogram (ECG) recorded the condition of the brain and the heart of all animals during the course of slaughter and stunning.

And MasyaAllah...this experiment found that :

I – Islamic Method

1. The first three seconds from the time of Islamic slaughter as recorded on the EEG did not show any change from the graph before slaughter, thus indicating that the animal did not feel any pain during or immediately after the incision.

2. For the following 3 seconds, the EEG recorded a condition of deep sleep - unconsciousness. This is due to the large quantity of blood gushing out from the body.

3. After the above-mentioned 6 seconds, the EEG recorded zero level, showing no feeling of pain at all.

4. As the brain message (EEG) dropped to zero level, the heart was still pounding and the body convulsing vigorously (a reflex action of the spinal cord) driving a maximum amount of blood from the body thus resulting in hygienic meat for the consumer.

II - Western method by C.B.P. Stunning

1. The animals were apparently unconscious soon after stunning.

2. EEG showed severe pain immediately after stunning.

3. The hearts of animals stunned by C.B.P. stopped beating earlier as compared to those of the animals slaughtered according to the Islamic method resulting in the retention of more blood in the meat. This in turn is unhygienic for the consumer.

And another research found that :

There is also a rising concern that this method may be a factor in the spread of mad cow’s disease from cattle to humans as it was discovered in recent research carried out at Texas A&M University and by Canada’s Food Inspection Agency, that a method called pneumatic stunning (which is the firing of a metal bolt into the cow's brain followed by a pulverizing burst of 150 pounds of air pressure) delivered a force so explosive that it scattered brain tissue throughout the animal.

This news is disturbing since the brain tissue and spinal cord are the most infectious parts of an animal with mad cow disease, which causes fatal Swiss cheese like holes in the brain of the infected animal. It is more disturbing to find out that around 30-40% of American cattle are stunned by pneumatic guns!

The Islamic slaughtering method must use a very sharp knife and used swiftly. The swift cutting of vessels of the neck disconnects the flow of blood to the nerves in the brain responsible for pain. Thus the animal does not feel pain. The movements and withering that happen to the animal after the cut is made are not due to pain, but due to the contraction and relaxation of the muscles deficient in blood. The prophet (peace be upon him) also taught Muslims neither to sharpen the blade of the knife in front of the animal nor to slaughter an animal in front of others of its own kind.

The cut should involve the windpipe (trachea), gullet (esophagus), and the two jugular veins without cutting the spinal cord. This method results in the rapid gush of blood draining most of it from the animal’s body. If the spinal cord is cut, the nerve fibers to the heart might be damaged leading to cardiac arrest thus resulting in stagnation of blood in the blood vessels. The blood must be drained completely before the head is removed. This purifies the meat by removing most of the blood that acts as a medium for microorganisms; meat also remains fresh longer as compared to other methods of slaughtering.

MasyaAllah.... And Allah knows what is the best for HIS creation. There must be some reasons of any obligation Allah made. Glad I am a Muslim. Alhamdulillah...

Allah, tiada Tuhan (yang berhak disembah) melainkan Dia, Yang Tetap hidup, Yang Kekal selama-lamanya mentadbirkan (sekalian makhlukNya). Yang tidak mengantuk usahkan tidur. Yang memiliki segala yang ada di langit dan yang ada di bumi. Tiada sesiapa yang dapat memberi syafaat (pertolongan) di sisiNya melainkan dengan izinNya. Yang Mengetahui apa yang ada di hadapan mereka dan apa yang ada di belakang mereka, sedang mereka tidak mengetahui sesuatu pun dari (kandungan) ilmu Allah melainkan apa yang Allah kehendaki (memberitahu kepadanya). Luasnya Kursi Allah (ilmuNya dan kekuasaanNya) meliputi langit dan bumi dan tiadalah menjadi keberatan kepada Allah menjaga serta memelihara keduanya. Dan Dialah Yang Maha Tinggi (darjat kemuliaanNya), lagi Maha Besar (kekuasaanNya).

Al-Baqarah :255 (ayat Kursi)
